About Rucaparib

Rucaparib is an investigational drug that comes in tablets, is taken by mouth, and is being tested in ovarian cancer. It is designed to inhibit poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), a protein involved in DNA repair. 'Investigational drug' means that rucaparib is still being tested in humans and has not been approved by any Health Authority, including the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As a result, it is currently only available through clinical trials.
